This an open competitive grant solicitation. Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) announces the availability of approximately $8 million dollars in grant funding for electric vehicle direct-current fast charging stations and hydrogen fueling infrastructure. The legislation in RCW 47.04.350 directs WSDOT’s Innovative Partnerships Office to develop and maintain a program to support the deployment of clean alternative fuel vehicle charging and refueling infrastructure that is supported by private financing. WSDOT refers to the program as the Zero-Emission Vehicle Infrastructure Partnership (ZEVIP) program.
First-come, first serve program. As of March 14, 2022, there is still $8 million available out of the $9.5 million from the 2021-2023 biennium fund. Awards reported in January 2022 ranged from $198,137 to $6,801,201.

The installation of new electric vehicle direct-current fast charging equipment, the upgrade of existing electric vehicle charging equipment, and the installation of new hydrogen fueling infrastructure at publicly accessible sites along priority corridors in Washington.
Non-profit organizations, governmental entities, and tribes are eligible to apply, in partnership with a private sector organization.
