Current Credit Prices & Data
Reference credit pricing across the active Clean Fuel Program markets in the U.S. and Canada.
U.S. programs
Credit price history in USD.
OR CFP is published as a monthly average held flat within each month, so it is drawn as steps rather than daily movement.
Canadian programs
Credit price history in CAD.
BC LCFS is published as a monthly average held flat within each month, so it is drawn as steps rather than daily movement.
Coverage
We track credit pricing across the California LCFS, Oregon CFP, Washington CFS, New Mexico CTFP, British Columbia LCFS, and Canada's Clean Fuel Regulations. Each series begins when that program's market started trading, so earlier periods are intentionally blank.
How to read these figures
Prices shown are reference figures for planning. U.S. programs are quoted in USD and Canadian programs in CAD, so the two charts are not directly comparable. Actual monetization pricing depends on volume, timing, and program-specific dynamics.
What the regulators report
Each program administrator publishes its own record of completed credit transfers. These figures are compiled from those official reports and are a different measurement from the broker pricing above.
Why these numbers differ from the prices above
- Agency figures are volume-weighted averages of transfers that completed in a period. A trade priced weeks earlier is reported in the period it settled, so these series lag the market.
- Transfers reported at zero or near-zero prices are excluded from the averages, and are counted separately by CARB and ECCC.
- Reported price ranges can be set by a single unusual transfer. ECCC notes that April and June 2026 each include two transfers between affiliated parties at $580, which determine the reported maximum for those months.
- Because these are period aggregates rather than daily quotes, they are drawn as steps.
